About Ron Treshan and the artists
Ron is a local artist with over 80 years experience if you count starting at 5 years old :)
As a retired disabled veteran, Ron has taught learning-challenged kids for many years. He now applies those same skills for teaching local artists and helping them achieve their own individual success.
Ron’s respect for the environment and indigenous species, is applied to the palm frond canvas. The result is a wonderful expression of the wildlife of Florida and the Southeast United States. All work is hand-painted and all materials are respectful of the environment we live in. The palm fronds are cuttings from local Boca Raton, FL Royal Palm trees. Every art piece is original and no two paintings are identical.
At an age of 85, he still works hard. History: Ron has been enjoying art his entire life. As a young child, he attended a special program at the Chicago Art Institute. From there, he continued to grow as an artist and was awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship at FSU. After a few years in Santa Fe, NM where he started and ran a business, Ron returned to Florida. He taught special-needs students and painted until he retired from teaching at age 62. Since retirement, Ron has been living with his wife of over 35 years, in the Southeast United States and participates in local-area art shows for enjoyment and fulfilment.
